Gatineau, 1 May 2008 - During the first Gala of Excellence in Environmental in the Outaouais region, held Wednesday evening, April 30, at the auditorium of the Cégep de l'Outaouais-campus Gabrielle Roy, La Relance Outaouais - Valoritec won the first prize in the category "small enterprise or institution."

While geared towards sustainable development and environmental sanitation, Valoritec allows the creation of jobs in the region and integration into employment of people with functional limitations. Covering an area of 12,000 square feet, two major activities are held at this center is the dismantling and retailing. The dismantled material is then sold to recyclers who turn this material into new products.
