A few days before Christmas, the Gîte-Ami received a visit from Santa Claus

Gatineau, Decembre 17th - La Relance offered for more than $25 000 value for the Gîte-Ami:  12 computers, accessories and spinning, not to mention the workforce! The building is also connected by a network and connected to the Internet. The director of the organization, Luc Villemaire, thanked wholeheartedly this initiative, as one of the seven computers of the Gîte-Ami recently ``passed away``, and the others were obsolete. Yet, the demands of users were growing, particularly for job searching.

"There were extensive damages throughout the years, we yelled a little help," says Luc Villemaire. As for the president of the Gîte-Ami, Maureen MacMahon, this gift fits very well in the new offices. "It is timely because after two years and several months of care and periods of adjustment, we are about to enter a new phase, where we'll focus on internal management and needs users. " The two gentlemen agreed that the administration will be simplified by the new computers.

This is the fourth year that La Relance turns into Santa Claus. She previously helped the Dépanneur Sylvestre, a group of community organizations and a school. "We actually like to play Santa Claus and we have a lot of elves!``, launches the director of La Relance Outaouais, Jacques Bertrand, speaking of his employees. But we do not just provide equipment, we install all of it. So for us it's a plus. "

"We give, but we receive much too. And I wish that this would be a good example for all organizations that are doing well. I think we, La Relance Outaouais, we are lucky because it goes well. But we feel that we have a responsibility to help organizations, who help people truly in need", said Jacques Bertrand.

The devices are from the Technology Center of computers for schools (CTOPE) operated by La Relance Outaouais and partner of OPEQ (Computers for Schools of Quebec). "We want to help democratize as much as possible to make computers accessible to all," said the director of La Relance Outaouais.
